Winged monkeys (often referred to in adaptations and pop culture as flying monkeys) are characters from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, of enough impact between the books and the 1939 movie to have taken their own place in pop culture, regularly referenced in comedic or ironic situations as a source of evil or fear.
I believe that the "Jena 6" situation is being mishandled. The Black boys who beat up the white boys are wrong for using violence to solve this issue they should be punished the white boys are wrong for hanging nooses on the “white Tree". That's like painting swastikas on a Jewish person’s house. M.L.K fought hate with love and won. That is why he is considered a matter Malcolm was by any means necessary. He personified bravery but in the end his own people killed him. How does this pertain to the Jena 6 well if these kids fought back with love by petitioning all students and uniting those who are not racist in a peaceful showing of black and white unity? Those few who are full of hate would then feel as if they don't belong and would see the light we are all one on this earth. The fact that they used violence is only going to bring back serious racial tension in the U.S. especially in all confederate states. 2012 my friend 2012!
