The good reps from many of the stores in the county were all planning a get together for me as a farewell from the company. DJ somehow finds out and in his manipulative way informally questioned each rep and discouraged them from going. The threatened without threatening people via suggestive talk. One by one people started to call and cancel other just didn’t call at all and ignored my calls to cancel. I don’t blame them they are not built for this type of stress. I have my blog to keep me moving, and calm they don’t.
This situation made my girlfriend leave me for the last time. She went back to the DR and said good bye for ever. Her reason was I have too much drama around me. I did not go out looking for trouble but it finds me. I will be written my book about the earlier time in AT&T and how things lead up to this day. As for now I will be posting blogs and keeping you guys up to date on this. So far the company affected someone I really care about by making up some harassment charge. My girl believes me that I would not cheat on her but she just could not handle me getting into a dramatic battle every year with management. I was recently told that no one from the company can get in contact with me and I can’t get in contact with them. Out of sight out of mind continue selling people continue selling.
The thing that made her decision easy was I recently received my W-2 and no Fed-tax was withheld from my pay check. I definitely know that I filled out the paper work correctly and reported this situation to the HR department. I never really noticed due to setting up a 401k for the first time and have money directly deposited to my savings account and checking separately. I never had a paper tail until I printed all my check from January when I came into the company. I know for a fact it is not my fault because I had my HR rep help me fill out the form. It is an over sight by them and they have no answers. Come to think of it they might have known about this so they decided to get rid of me first in order for me not to press charges against them for gross neglect of my tax situation.
I have a meeting with them on Thursday Fed 15 and will blog you after the meeting. Thanks for reading Peace !!!!!

Meeting in session via telephone AT&T your world delivered. The EEO representative phoned in to cast judgment on me. Do you believe that? They treat me as if I had the plague or something. The setting for the meeting is as follows, In M&M’s office the EEO on the phone and the Union by my side. The EEO went on to tell me why I was serving my suspension. I was accused of sexual harassment! I am totally in shock to a point where I felt like throwing up. But I sat strong and kept on with the interview head held up high.
Then the probing questions started and I answered al honestly. They first ask did I send this text message “hey girl you sexy and I am sexy I saw we be sexy together” I answered yes! Then I was asked why, I told them me a few of the ladies in the store was watching a TV show called Martin in the break room we had good laughs. The reason I text that part is because we all were texting back and fourth about the show. We did it like a regular conversation no feelings or any hidden agendas were involved.
Second question was about a video of Jamie Foxworthy form the TV show family Matters one of my wild and crazy friends sent me. This video is a clip of her in the adult film industry. Yes people Porn was found on my phone ( bhum, bhum, bhum, dramatic climax). I explained this was sent to me by a friend during my birthday party on my vacation. I had co-workers with me and they asked me to see the video and I forward it to them that night. Mind you we all had a little to drink and were not thinking about work why should we think of work? We are off the clock in a party having fun anything about work was the last thing on our minds.
After explaining that to the EEO she then goes on to say that I wrote a message about my DJ sating “Dat Niggah DJ just pulled dem cameras on me yo!” This is black slang for “DJ just reviewed the cameras in the store to see if I am stealing things”. The EEO then stats I have no right to use the word niggah it is a racist word! At this point my jaw fell to the ground. If you heard the disagreement and smi-anger in the EEO’s voice. Mind you on the phone she is a very polite sounding old school white southerner. She even went to the extream to ask me “how would you like it if I or someone else called you that word”?
I told her that that is now our word we took it from your culture and mad it a hood slang word in our culture. If someone calls me a nigger then that is different then niggah, she was not buying it. Therefore I told her that is how the black youth of today talks we use that word as a slang word we don’t give it any meaning. If the word is used to insight hate and slander then it is wrong, it’s the word but the feeling behind the word. She repeated so if someone called you that word would yo be mad? I told the EEO if it is my people no!
A total of two hours have gone buy and we are almost done with the interrogation ahh I mean the interview to hear my side of the story. Now the Union steps in and has my defense. Union ask the on what evidence besides and accusation did the company feel it was justified to suspend me. EEO answered this is the practices that AT&T has been doing for years. In my opinion guilty until proven innocent! Then Union asks if my client did not have anything on his phone would there be evidence of harassment? EEO answered the accusation is enough to look into the matter. In my opinion I was being monitored closely from day one and they couldn’t pin a theft rap sheet on me so they used harassment!
Union then began to tell them that these practices are unfair do to the rapid suspension and lack of evidence before taking action. Union also states that the fact that I was not told why I was suspended and the length of the suspension was also unfair. Union then asks why wasn’t my client told if he would be receiving his paycheck or not? EEO answered because an investigation was pending before a decision will be made. Union states it looks like my client has been punished already as if a decision has been made. Example an indefinite suspension without pay before he even knows why he is suspended. It seems as if I have been judged and sentenced before I knew what I was up against.

One lovely day while at work minding my own business I was summed into DJ’s office and told to bring my Company Issues Phone (COU). At first I thought he was going to say that I need to give back the phone in order to hand it over to someone else due to our phone rotation amongst the reps. When I saw him ask M&M to join us I had a bad feeling. DJ proceeded to tell me that I am being suspended from work.
With shock and amazement, I ask why? He tells me do to the magnitude of this accusation that has been placed upon me he cannot say. M&M confirms that statement and tells me that I will be contacted at a later day upon a pending investigation. At this time I feel as if I am being set up for something big! They started this off with a shroud of secrecy like a Roswell cover-up LOL!
I am now serving my suspension without knowing why a week goes buy and I hear nothing form DJ or M&M. The first thought that goes through my mind is this all could be a freemason plot to keep me from snooping around their websites. Or it’s an initiation into the brotherhood. I went along with the suspension thinking it wasn’t serious. When I see that no one has contacted me from the brotherhood I started to think this suspension was something else.
I sat and pondered the situation what could it be that would bring fourth a suspension with such secrecy? The only thing that came to mind is the inventory and the missing items during shipping. At this time I am thinking I really don’t believe the company would think I stole from them. I’ve worked for them for four years and never once been tempted to do so.
But then I remembered the inventory coordinator and inventory specialist have been e-mailing me back and fourth asking me probing questions about missing items and forwarding them to M&M and DJ. I responded to all honestly and with facts to back my story up. Our inventories counts have been upside down do to the negligence of certain sales reps in the store. I reported them all and DJ looked at me as if I was the one who made these mistakes. He expressed his disapproval many times towards the inventory counts to a point where it seemed like he was trying to set me up for the fall in order to save himself. Now I have been betrayed many times by white men but a Black man this was my first.
Since I was not allowed anywhere near the store and told not to contact anyone from the store I really started to get suspicious. If it is not the Freemasons it must be the inventory. That is the only battle I have been in the past few months with the company. I then started to think the reason they took my phone was because was to look up my messages and contact to see if I have a person whom I contact in order to steal. Mind you due to recent Break-ins in other stores except for the one I work in the company has been on high alert.
My mind is going a mile a minute thinking of all possible scenarios like they must have been tracking all possible aspects of the robberies and see that my store has not been hit but items are missing from the inventory. In their minds this makes me look like suspect number one in a string of robberies. I truly believe they have been monitoring me closely due to probing questions asked by the inventory coordinator she also copied them to DJ and M&M.
At this point I am tired of speculating so I call the company’s union representative and told him my story. He springs onto action immediately and get’s me a meeting with M&M. The Meeting is set and I am prepared to defend myself to the very last breathe. I was prepared on all fronts to prove my innocence I had e-mail and printed out receipts to prove ever transaction possible.

In this blog I am about to take you on a little journey of recent events I have been through in my four year AT&T Career and the end of it all. Or is it? This will be a tale of Sex, lies, and Corporate America I was once told “there is no better place to begin then the beginning”. So without further a due here we go, Once upon a time in a land called corporate America there exists a business called AT&T moblity. Wait a minute you guys didn’t really think I was going to start off like that did you? LOL!

My story begins in mid June 2007 working for At&t mobility at a store that I felt very comfortable working for. In the interests of fairness to people’s privacy I will be using acronyms, initials, and nicknames. With that said, the first characters I will be talking about will be DJ the overseer of the store, Mr. T the enforcer of the store, and M&M the head man in charge of all store in the area they All played an intricate part in my era with the company.

DJ is an overall good guy he listens and at time helps you out if it benefits him.
When I look at DJ I see a man who wants a better life and will do what it takes to get it.
He is a hard worker and very diligent in all aspects of the business. I dubbed him the At&t work horse, due to certain day in the store where Mr. T and M&M would be together in the break room eating hot wings while DJ would be on the sales floor helping customers.

Mr. T is a “kool guy” he knows when to joke and laugh with you and when to “lay the hammer down”. He is very affectionate he tends to put his are around the ladies a lot and “schmooze” with them on a daily basis. Mr. T and M&M are good friends from what I have been told and seeing their interaction in the past year. That would explain why DJ would not get included in the hot wings lunch in the backroom.

M&M this guy is a big picture man very smart, cunning, and can and will deceive you and make you buy into what he’s saying. I think he is at the right position in the company and I admire the “game of Chess” he plays with people’s lives. He is very good at it and he s perfecting his skills at this very moment. I do thank him because he helped my out when I need assistance. He is kind but a shroud businessman.

And then there’s me the rubber band man I'm in trouble man always in trouble man. I work the inventory room and other clerical task that the heads of the store don’t want to do. My position has been called the “inventory Bitch, do boy, gofer, and bottom of the barrel” needless to say my position in the store was not as important as a sales rep.
